BLCC Singapore members and De Hanze - International Club of Flanders delegates have an insightful trip to Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) on 20 November 2024.
After a warm welcome, Corinna Choong, Senior Director - Sustainability , gave an introduction to Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), followed by introduction and exhibition of Architecture and Sustainable Design(ASD) presented by Associate Head of Pillar Prof Kang Shua Yeo.
In addition, we have this special opportunity to be on a guided tour to 4 of the innovative labs (Food 3D Printing, DmanD, ASD Studio 2, Fabrication Lab within SUTD). These tours were an eye-opener to what Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) can offer through its curriculum and how SUTD is able to train and nurture SUTD students to become technically competent and marketable when they graduate.
After the tour, we proceeded to the beautiful Traditional Chinese Structure (described as the oldest Chinese structure in Singapore and donated by film star Jackie Chan) for a welcome drink, 1 minute pitch and a delectable dinner with 2 hours of free flow drinks.
