The visit to dnata was truly an enriching experience.
After a smooth pass exchange at CAC pass office, we were welcomed with coffee and tea in dnata , which set the stage for meaningful networking among the attendees. Thereafter, we have the honour of Sam Gould, Head of Cargo to give us an overview of dnata 's cargo operations. He also shared his invaluable insight on the various issues and questions raised by the attendees.
After the talk, Sam Gould brought us personally to the cool chain facility where all the temperature sensitive goods (meat, fish, seafood, fruits, vegetables, pharmaceuticals, flowers, etc) are stored. We had an opportunity to go into the “freezer” room to experience the cold and were pleasantly surprised that the doors of these temperature-controlled rooms were made in Belgium by DYNACO.
Besides visiting the cool chain facility, we also had the opportunity to tour the Import and Export operations at the General Cargo Terminal with matt Demir, being our guide.
A heartfelt appreciation to Sam Gould for sharing his professional experience in cargo operations and bringing us to tour the cool chain facility.
We also want to thank matt Demir, who had been coordinating this visit with BLCC Singapore and bringing us to tour the General Cargo Terminal.
A big shout out to the Transport and Logistics Committee (Andre Nothomb , Dominique De Smet and Francis du Bois de Vroylande) for organising this visit and Andre Nothomb, Dominique De Smet, Geert Van Brempt, Bruno Krellstein and Malcolm Chan who gave fellow attendees a ride in their cars from CAC pass office to dnata.
Lastly, we want to thank the 23 attendees who made effort to arrive punctually or earlier at the pass exchange.
After this visit, we truly appreciate why dnata was awarded "Ground Handler of Year" by Air Cargo News for the 9th consecutive time.
