The “Refresh your wardrobe in an eco-friendly way” event held at the The Fashion Pulpit was a resounding success.
The evening started with the guests being welcomed with delectable food, cheese and wine. Thereafter, Raye Padit - Founder of The Fashion Pulpit, shared his passion in promoting and advancing sustainable fashion in Singapore through clothes swapping without compromising on style and sustainability. Besides Raye, we have another distinguished speaker – Ms Nicole van der Elst Desai, Founder of VDE Consultancy, who is passionate about creating better products and processes in the fashion industry that leave a better planet for future generations. She shared with us her knowledge of microfibre shedding of textiles and its impact on the environment and our health.
A heartfelt gratitude to H.E. Colette TAQUET for gracing the occasion and being supportive of BLCC’s sustainability related events.
Special kudos to the International French School (Singapore) students (Quentin, Fanny, Themis, Alexine and Julia) who spent many hours despite their busy school curriculum, to deliver a stellar fashion show. We are so proud of them.
A big shout to Raye Padit for collaborating with BLCC Singapore to make the event a success and Ms Nicole van der Elst Desai for sharing her professional insights on microfibre shedding of textiles.
We want to thank Jan De Nul Group (BLCC Gold Member) for sponsoring the red wine which the guests enjoyed tremendously.
Lastly, a big shout out to Claudia Gehlen , Patrycja Wisniewska and Isabel Alvarez Fernandez for orchestrating the success of this event and wore beautiful dresses from the Fashion Pulpit.
It was indeed a night of style, sustainability, and connection. A few guests were part of the change for sustainable fashion and left the event, swapping their pre-loved clothes with newly found treasures to add their wardrobe.
We will be organizing more sustainability related events in the future, and we look forward to seeing you there.
