Go Global with Local Talent

🌍 Go Global with Local Talent on 25 June 2025 🌍

As more Singapore companies are going internationally, the talent gaps, particularly in global readiness, have emerged as one of the biggest constraints to international expansion.

It was an insightful session as Kenneth Wong from Workforce Singapore shared with us how a company with global expansion can tap into Workforce Singapore's Overseas Markets Immersion Programme (OMIP) to send new mid-career hires or existing employees with little or no relevant overseas experience on overseas postings, to be reskilled into global/regional roles with good prospects. The funding support is for overseas assignment from 6 months to 9 months.

In addition, Wei Jie Ang from Nestle shared the positive experience in working with Workforce Singapore and tapping into OMIP for funding support while Neha Thakkar from Expat Advising highlighted the importance of providing tools and strategies to the expatriates and their families in order to ensure successful international international assignments.

We want to thank SwissCham Singapore People and Skills Committee for organizing this event with Workforce Singapore and Expat Advising.

To our BLCC members* who were present, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to attend the event.
