André graduated at the Ecole de Commerce Solvay, Université Libre de Bruxelles in 1988.

He has over 35 years' experience at Solvay/Syensqo, continuously based in Asia since 1991. 
Along his career he covered various functions in Finance, Administration, Internal Audit, Commercial, Business Development, including for Joint Venture Partnerships.
Since 2015, André has been the Group Head of Government Affairs for the Asia Pacific region.
Since 2021, he has been the Singapore Country Director.

André retired from his position in 2025. 

Since retirement, he has been actively contributing as Treasurer of BLCC Singapore, ensuring that the chamber is in good financial health.
